So sad. This used to be a very affordable place managed by a really nice family. Now they nearly doubled the prices and added more taxes for basically the same dated cabins and amenities. Unfortunately it is now way to overpriced.

VERY overpriced..... No air conditioning, and it was 85 degrees. Bathroom was so small that they had to CUT A HOLE in the bathroom door, because it could not pass around the toilet. Table and chairs in kitchen/ sitting area were very wobbly. One small TV, with a little antenna, so reception was not good. Cabins are across street from lake. I didn't see an access near. So you can see the lake, depending on what cabin you are in. I don't know when they were built, but very old and very dated. Bed felt like a big sponge. As old as the cabins are, it was clean. Just very small and terribly overpriced. Also, if you leave any garbage on checkout, they will fine you $50. Then there was an envelope left near the door so you could leave a TIP. ****** Thank you for responding. I stand by review. I still feel overpriced, i checked a number of hotels, your cabins are in the range of them price wise. My problem is that the hotels are much newer, does not have a hole cut in bathroom door, most have air conditioning, are cleaned daily, and the customer is not required to take out trash. I appreciate the cozy, rustic, etc, but you can have all that without being old and outdated.

Clean, quiet and a beautiful view! Great stay, very private, affordable and close to the city. The cottages have everything you need to enjoy Lake Superior. Highly Recommend!

Great small cabins, contain everything you need and directly next to the lake. Great views.

Great little cabin, check-in was easy over the phone. Literally never saw another person which was kinda weird but rooms were clean and had all the amenities of a hotel.

Such a cute place to stay. Me and my friend LOVED our cabin. It’s right across from the lake with great views. The fireplace stove was amazing. Mark has so many dvds in our cabin too so we loved watching movies at night! We will be back!

We had such a wonderful time in Duluth this weekend! Thank you to Mark for accommodating us and the doggies and letting us stay in a bigger cabin. We are extremely thankful! We loved every minute of it. Only 15 min away from Canal Park and downtown. We will definitely come back and will recommend to our friends/family.

Awesome stay at this place! Owner was extremely friendly and accommodating! Nice cabin rooms, nothing fancy, but exactly what a cabin should be! Everything was clean and worked well. Comfortable beds and very quiet at night. Loved hearing the waves of Superior crash at night. Would highly recommend if you want a basic cabin experience!
